Look Who's back!!! - Yes the ABR team!

We are stil alive, better yet, we're about to go Kickin'

- that means, kicking off with the first Public Release of ABR v1.0!

http://www.bf2scripts.com/ABR-PICS/ABR-PROMO-1.jpg

With our most promising features, RANKED MODSUPPORT and the Manual RANK and DECORATION control, we hope to reach the Mod Developers out there!

Here is an example:
A Ranked BF1918 FlightShow World, with Custom World War One Ranks and Aireal badges/ribbons that can be earned thru Statistics.
Your mod eventually decides how you will be decorated.
Your BFhq, Can show you your scores(if enabled) your decorations, and those of your clan mate's!!
Ingame, you could have your (custom) Rank visible, Gain Awards by gaining points, and there is even a possibility to trigger a Medal -or a rank achivement Manually INGAME, by an serveradmin/clanleader thru console command/triggers!

as we see it, we want to create every possibility we can think of. Ladder based worlds, Multiplayer Mods, with storylines- or to win on that server, to gain access to the next server level? Hell, we might be hosting a 'Combat Missions Tournament' world!? who knows! the possibilities are there, you just have to make the effort to realise it!

If the mod supports New Badges, Custom Ranks, or maybe only custom ranks/icons ingame, ABR will support that too! Mix that with a custom game mode, stirr it with a big community, and the possibilities are endless...
Im ready for it. Are you?

In the next few day's we're starting to stress test the World database and statistics database.

Stay tuned for the most sophisticated Ranking system for Battlefield2 Since EA.

Here a short wrapup why our system is better than EA's
- Multiple Ranked Worlds
- Everybody can have a Ranked server!
- Lightning fast Stats Updates ( almost realtime )
- Ranked Mod support
- Custom Rank, Medal & ribbon support
- Total control over Unlocks Medal & ribbon criteria ( per world )
- Web Backend, Same Framework as http://bf2web.gamespy.com - with some extra's
- ABR Main Website, with World Stats, countrystats, Playerstats Mapstats etc.
- And Many many more functions!

Regards,
The ABR development team

- since we are preparing for the launch, we urge you to goto www.multiplayer-central.com for more information.

Yes, you can have Stats and Rankings, for mods!
and No, you dont need to modify ANY .exe Every ABR server has some Scripts installed, for the functionality.

This looks awesome! I have a question though, if I start a clan, would I be able to add special badges? Like custom images etc?

Sounds promising. Hopefully a system like this'll encourage more people to play on unranked "ABR ranked" servers running mods and custom maps, thus adding to the variety of things.

I think the biggest detriment to mods at the moment, in terms of gaining a playerbase, is the fact that you have to play on unranked servers to play custom content. While I'm not an advocate of any sort of ranking system in general, I think that adding any sort of ranking system (even an unofficial one) would attract the more average player to unranked servers- they seek to play toward a goal, and a ranking system provides this.

Anyhoo, good work ABR people. Hopefully, mods and server ops will implement this system and see their playerbase flourish.

yes, you can. In the MOD you make for BF2, you just incorporate those medals. this way you can get the medals INGAME, and ofcourse, the medals + criteria have to be stored in the ABR system, for the Web stats

note that we planning to release ABR within 10 +/-day's - Just in time for christmas!
