I'm the CoH player who finds Easy to be too easy and Medium to be a toughy sometimes. :p

I've completed the campaign, so I know most of the basics, like hitting the Rear Armour and such. Kinda wish I could get my Tanks to hold fire til they reach the rear though.

So, any hints or tips? Perhaps some that usually work for most maps, so I get a rough idea. :)

You'll find that threads made by BodyBag2224 will be handy for tips&tricks.

Heres a few basics:
*If you play on a map with chokepoints try to lock them down on the enemy side instead of in the middle
*Co-operate with your teammates! (chat: shift+enter)
*Get the fuel points! You'll need them for armor.
*Wait until you see what kind of enemy your fighting before picking you Doctrine. If he's defensive take e.g armour, airborne, blitz. If he's attacky take e.g Infantry, Defensive etc.
*Join the TotalCoH.com Official X-Fire Clan and practice with us! :D

Alright remeber that if you are allies you have to continue harassing, if you are Axis remeber to capture and hold. You can't run around with Axis, you have to think tactically and go slowly. If you are Allies, make sure to always go Barracks first (WSC is technically viable, but not so much nowadays). Don't rush for VP's as either, and cap the important resource for your side. Allies need fuel, Axis need munitions. If the Axis have their units focused on one side of the map, and are keeping them huddled together, it may pay off to go tech up to grenades. If they are spread out and have veterancy tech to BAR's instead. If you need a WSC with your Barracks, then you will most likely need sticky grenades for t3 Puma and Stugs. Keep your sniper cloaked, and on hold fire, if you think that there is a sniper near, wait for him to fire, and then counter snipe. AT guns are your friend, and necessary to effectively counter tanks. Use them and an M10 or Sherman to flank the tank. BTW don't ever get Rangers, or go inf company. Back on topic. Skipping WSC and going to t3 to get a quick Halftrack and then upgrade to the Quad cannon is very viable and effective. Keep engineers with you to give extra firepower, and to repair. If you have extra munitions, get flamethrowers on them. When you go for tank depot, think about what is happening. You haven't seen much infantry, and you are expecting tanks, get an M10 Tank Destroyer. Axis player is spamming infantry, grens/storms, get a croc, and remeber to repair!! If you don't know, enemy has an equal force, or you need something to adapt to anything, Sherman is your best choice. I'll soon start posting more detailed strategies for units, sides, and maps. Got to get out of my WIC mindset. BTW welcome to the forums!

Thanks guys! Very helpful stuff here, will keep all of it in mind. :)

As an FPS player, I've always had to keep ping in mind. Do you have to play with people nearby you or does it not really matter when it comes to RTS games?

For me I can connect to any game for the most part. I don't find ping a big deal here in the RTS world. I mean heck, I've been playing with Europeans, from all the way here in Florida.
