Here was my problem in the map I'm working on. This was very frustrating for me.

These darn spikes almost turned me off to the BF2 Editor. After some research, this is the fix i used.
First off, up top in your editor's menu, select "Render/Surrounding Terrain/ToggleDrawAll"

Now you will notice the surrounding terrain is green like so:

Shaping this neon green terrain is tedious, hurts the eyes, and will take forever. One way to make things easier is is by selecting "Render/Object Wireframe Mode".

This will give contrast to your surrounding terrain, allowing you to put it back into the shape you had orignally intended!
