I'm really beginning to think twice about this expansion. Is this supposed to be Battlefield 2 but special forces battles on a large scale? If so, maybe they should have thought it through. Perhaps trying to make some sort of backwards compatibility where players who bought the expansion can join normal BF2 games and play as these elite soldiers. Its just a thought. Am I the only one who thinks its odd slightly odd to see a 64 man special forces battle?

Hey, a MEC soldier that grew a beard and put on a boggan. Must have been cold. And nah, he'll be fine as the missile will clip straight through his leg, but he'll be unharmed as the missile hits the roadblock of teammates ahead, the tank driver kills 3 teammates, all who punish and he gets kicked, and the engineer turns around and kills the guy on foot. Yay for the bearded MEC-man!

I know, but it's not very realistic to expect people viewing this topic to bother registering for a forum they'll never visit again - just to view 3 more screenshots. :)

Man is it just me or do the character models look whack in the expansion? The arms are way out of shape! Check below.

I'm a little sceptical about the value of the mod. The apache looks good hope it has the hellfire fire and forget. It would be l33t if you could have a special forces scout 'lase' the target so you could pop up, acquire, fire and disappear.

What about some sub or mini sub action for specops to get up through waterways unseen?

What is so revolutionary about night vision. EA/DICE keep on hyping this with heaps of screenshots. Wow EA.... wow!

I saw a post earlier about specops battles likely being too large to be realistic. In fact specops often are engadged at such a size. Recon is not the only role of special ops. I know the one of the roles of the commando regiments from Australia and the UK is to go a distance behind enemy lines and wreak havoc with up to company of troops.

EA Marketing Machine is actually working wonders in my opinion. Im stoked about getting this EX PACK...and more so every day as it nears.
Cant Wait personaly. Should be a blast for us infantry guys...and it looks like on some maps, some chopper pilots will have some fun as well.
And with the ability to access just about any height on any building...this should become special ops...because stealthly sneaky squads should be able to own.

I agree with you there...it does seem kinda unrealistic...having 64 SF running around.......but hey it still looks like fun

The Battlefield franchise has never been based on historical accuracy and realism, so why would they start now?

i agree. it's been solely based on getting as much money as they can from us.

Why is that so unrealistic? In Afghanistan and Iraq there have been many operations using 30-40 US or British SFs with air support. It takes more then 10 guys to take an airfiield or oil rig.

It's much more realistic having 64 total SFs then trying to pretend it's a major battle that would normally involve hundreds or thousands of troops. The maps look more to scale which is much more realistic.

I see the AA missiles are still nerfed, hmm.
