Connection Error

Specs don't matter for this one excpet I'm using a linksus wireless G adapter and it was working fine than today it started giving me a connection error. Sometimes I can play a full game and most of the time I can just play about 10 seconds of the game then I get a connection lost to the server. Anyhelp?

I am having the same problem, I think I noticed it last night. Some games I dont even get to hit the join button. It usually freezes up for about 30 seconds, then it says the connection to this server has been lost. Is this how it does it to you? I downloaded the lastest driver which came out a couple days ago. I tried opening ports on my router, even made this computer the DMZ. I dunno what to do. The first game I played today worked, then after the game was over, while I was looking at the scores, it froze up and i lost connection....

I have an AMD 64 Athlon 3400+ 2gig of ram, x800xl ATI GPU with 5.11 Catalyst driver. D'link DI-604 Router. I use Comcast internet also.

Please help. This is very discouraging.

After reading your link, I see that BF2 does not support 64 bit? Hmmmm I dont know if I downloaded that. I seem to remember seeing something about that. How can I tell if it is installed?

Same thing here too, just hangs for like 30 sec, then back to server screen with "Connection to server lost". Nothing has changed on my PC, just started today.



Like it matters: AMD 3200+ 64
1.5 Gig, 6600 GT OC PCIe

Well at least I know its not me, I wonder if it could be the 64bit

Hey I've had the same problem! Having bought battlefield 2 and played around 15 hours online with no problem, then suddenly getting this " lost server connection error". *from 5 seconds to 10 minutes into the server).

I'm using:

3200+ AMD
512 DDR RAM
256 ATI Redon
NETGEAR wireless

Like all people with the this problem (I've been looking around and theres loads of people with this problem) single player works like a dream! I updated punk buster, almost worked as well, got about 15 minutes of online game play then the computer locked up! I've changed absolutly nothing, software and hardware wise!

We'll have to wait for a EA update or somthing! I REALLY hope its not a AMD 64bit problem, this is my new computer!
