Hey, My battlefield2 has been crashing alot lately, and for a reason i do not know. I can play the game for 2 hours, or 15 minutes and it may crash bf2 randomly at any time. It does not make my computer crash, or change my display in any way however. I am currently using patch v1.03 and have the new catalyst 5.11 drivers.
~specs~
Athlon 64 3200+ Processor
Sapphire X800xt-pe graphics card
Asus A8n-E motherboard
1GB Corsair ValueRAM
Aftermarket cooling on everything
Catalyst 5.11 driver
So, ive tested this problem in a few ways to see how it is happening and why but with no luck. I can play for 4 hours and it restarts, or 4 minutes. Bf2 has restarted in the middle of an airfight with arty going off and everything happening or just sitting on a boat on the side of the carrier. I have tested to see the temperature of my computer at idle time, and after playing the game, I've concluded that the temperature is not a factor as the temperature changes by only 2 or 3 degrees. I have updated my drivers to fix this problem but that didnt work, and i also tried re-installing which did not work. Whenever i play i close all background tasks with the exception of xfire, and i have tried caling EA but they are not open at the moment. I also know that this has happened at my friends house some times (not as much) but i do not have the specs to his computer. I have searched many other forums, and all the technical help (although little in substance it is) that EA provides, but none of it seems to answer my problem. Thx for your time.
