First off, when I start up BF2, I go to Options>Audio and hit the mic test, everything is on etc. and I don't know if this is the way it's supposed to be, but unless I blow in the mic or talk loud, when the test starts the bar will stay still and when I make a noise before hand it will let me hear the test. To the main problem though, when I start BF2, I join a game with battlecom, and join up in a squad, then it will have the horn next to my name, cool right? I press B and talk, and it will usualy work twice, then the horn will dissapear and will cease to work.... Any ideas?
By the way, i'm using the onboard sound card, Realtek AC97.

My other problem, I've been playing for a good two weeks now and I ONLY play ranked games. However, I never get any points recorded. It's been two weeks and I get nothing, zip, nada.

Any help would be apreciated.

Somebody posted (ptegan, I believe) that you should run DXDiag and reduce the sound acceleration slider to basic.

As for your other problem, turn off any and all firewalls, including Windows XP firewall.

Yea I read about turning it to basic, I tried it and haven't been able to log in as of now so I'm waiting it out. The firewall can actually prevent rank from being recorded or just delays it?
