IGN (http://www.ign.com/) has published an article detailing their experience with the new Battlefield 2 expansion, Special Forces.
Tear gas is quite popular here, but you can use that gas mask at the expense of your field of view. Only the Support class gets tear gas, though. The Assault kit gets a Flash Bang, the sniper and Special Forces classes get zip lines, and the Assault and Anti-Tank guys get the grappling hook. No one is an island, so you'll want to have a variety of people to coordinate effectively. The flash bang is pretty effective because, even if you look away before it goes off, you'll still get deafened if you're too close.
