<a href="www.ign.com">IGN</a> gives Special Forces a mighty 8.0 out of 10 in their recently posted review.<blockquote>Of the things that are inevitable, a Battlefield expansion ranks right up there with death, taxes and the end of the world. Thankfully, Special Forces is more fun than the others on the list, although it does have its own aggravations. The inclusion of elite military groups is more cosmetic than anything else, and there are still problems with the server browser, but the new vehicles and new maps are a welcome inclusion to what is already quite a solid multiplayer shooter. And the Brits should be pleased to have their own SAS shouting British things like "Oi!" and "Cheers, mate!"</blockquote>Read the whole review <a href="http://pc.ign.com/articles/672/672482p1.html">here.</a>

Good Review, actually...
I don't why they said that verifying data takes almost the same time as loading a map with the "rig" they used because on my pc, it takes 10-30 sec(1+ minute loading the map)...
Still SF is a little buggy and has some performance issues...I can run my BF2 fine, with 2GB's RAM and 6800GT...but SF gets really frustrating when it starts lagging :(

Thats really really annoying ... its like having the US marines voiced by the cast of blazing saddles...

Wtf was he on about with the jets? Probably didn't actually play all the maps so he's assuming that their in the game.

IGN has it right.
The server browser STILL SUCKS!!!
SF is ok I would recommend it just so you have all the BF2 content available to you.
But that server browser....oh well it does kinda sorta work..
I
SF is not my game. I'm waiting for the great mods like POE, OPK and so on.
Think they will do their job much better and with more passion to the game and the community.

I would have to agree with you. I have LTB 5.1 surround sound headphones. I purposely gased a teammate (friend of mine) and listened closely. I heard NO coughing?? Whats up with that.
Also just like the above posters stated about the jets. Quoted from their 'Review' article about BF:SF
"You'll find that the Special Forces maps have generally fewer jets, and tanks for that matter. I can understand why. It's nearly impossible to take down a jet, and tanks aren't far behind. If you aren't within spitting distance and carrying either a mine or a package of C4, infantry is toast. Grenades don't do it, shoulder-mounted rockets are slow and weak, and bullets will only scratch the paint. The average tank has so much armor, in fact, and the -mounted shoulder rocket launcher or RPG is so slow to reload and does so little damage, that it's possible for an engineer to repair a tank faster than it's getting damaged. Even a direct hit from an artillery strike won't do the job. You need high-grade explosives. As for jets… those are just a pain in the butt. I don't think I've ever actually downed one of those, and believe me, I've tried. You're better off using surface-to-air armaments as ground defense."
WTF??  Did the guy get confused between BF:2 and BF:SF or did he make a boo boo. I thought this was a review of the BF:SF not BF:2

Damnit now we have to review the reviewers; I give this review a 6/10. Anyways the browser still sucks *** and I don't think I will ever understand gamespy's crappy browser that has the response of a guy with now legs.
What's his ramble about how he can't get a tank, how about running around and using the surroundings around you to hide from the tank. I love running circles around a tank and him trying to get me in small areas, just stay away from walls that he can shoot at.

Tell everoyne about jets in a expansion with no jets = he fails at reviewing.
You'd think he'd at least play the maps a few times.

I give this review a 4 reviewers who forgot to do his homework out of 10 and this garbage EA Canada gives us the same score.
