CD-Key invalid???!!!

hi, i have a problem where whenever i go to join a server, it stops and says, CD-Key Invalid. now ive tried reinstalling the game but it still doesnt work. PLEASE HELP!!!

Do you have a legit copy ?
Your cd key might have been hijacked.

Anyway:

Download the 1.03 patch, and run it. Select your language, and then click NEXT.

DO NOTHING MORE WITH THE PATCH.

Look in: C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temp\{String-ID-Here}

Note that Local Settings is a hidden folder (access it by showing hidden folders in tools > folder options > view > show hidden files and folders)

In the directory above, you will see the 1.03 patch files, that are unpacked for temporary use. Copy them all to your ROOT BF2 Directory.

In my case it'd be E:\BF2\

Once copied, exit the 1.03 Patch program, without it running. Then in the BF2 Directory, run PATCH.exe - This will repatch BF2 without having to go through next, next, next etc.

Once done, go into the Support Directory, and run BF2_Key (or similar). This will prompt you to re-enter your legit BF2 CD Key.

Once done, go back to the BF2 Directory, and then run BF2_CD_Check.exe (or similar). This encrypts the CD Key.

Run the game.
You may get the CD Key invalid error again;- this is normal. Quit the game, and then restart it.

You cannot play BF2 1.03 with more than one user account. It wont allow it. You have to use one account, and one account only. After your done , update to 1.12. :)

Mine did that too, but reinstalling fixed it.
