I hope they add support for ATI video cards too!! ATI got back to me and they have a new Radeon driver update coming out in the next week or two, any body else got a X850XT 256mb PCIE card in their P-4 system that works with the 1.12 patch? Let me know the specs on your system if it does.
thanks!

Put an end to bunny-hopping n00b-tubers and I'll be happy, although if they could mke their way through the list posted on the EA UK forums, that would be good aswell... ;)

Considering the strong feelings of the community at the moment, this community update is an insult.
It's short, doesnt even hint at apologising, and they try to make a point about them listening to the community:
working hard on the features that YOU'VE asked for.
Listening to the community would have been useful a long time ago, when you release BF:Vietnam for example.
It's becoming more aparent to me that DICE slipped up when they made 1942... hurray for accidental genious.
It's back to Desert Combat for me, BF2 just isnt fun anymore - there's no sense of achievement by killing the apponent - that's not right.

I love the game and SF pack and I do play alot.
That being said the EA message sounds more like corporate spin than anything else.
Will there be a patch yes.
What will it fix who knows.
That does not sound very promising my only complaint is the ID bug, AA effectiveness and performance issuses i.e. shuttering and sound issuses other than those I can deal with the rest.
Hopefully I am wrong and they will address those problems but I am worried.
maybe this patch will have the 140 fixes promised that battlefield needs....doubt it though.

What the hell do you mean theres no sense of achievement??????
you insane in the membrane or what?
how can you say that. Is it because you get your *** kicked all the time or what?
Bf2 is way harder and tougher than anything previous, and I have played all of BF mods ands xpansions and Vietnam which I love.
The Bf community is becoming a bunch of bitches and winers. Pretty soon it will be like the CS community of COD community, no one helps anyone who is a noob and everyone is rude.
YA there is alot to do to fix bf2. But it's no different from bf42 and that took years to patch. And BF2 is 10x the game that 42 ever was.
Please go back to run and gun DC. talk about no sense of achievment. Get in an apache in DC and if your any good you'll have a dozen kills in no time.
Its time the community be a little patient and understanding that EA is a company and they make a product to sell and make money
THe guys working at EA/Dice have a life too and probably arent paid overtime to fix all your little bugs ASAP for the precious community. Give them a Fu**ing break guys! THink of your own jobs. Imagine going home and reading what a piece of **** your are and how you cant, and dont do your job! Anybody ever work in customer service before? If you did you would realize what a bunch of bitches people are, and how they dont care about anthing or anyone but themselves.
thats all for now!!!! :)
peace and long live BF!

Another update huh, so another chance to completely miss what really needs to be fixed. Awesome. No more hoping for fixes from EA, they need to prove they can actually fix the right crap.. unexcusable series of event from this team, since the game came out. Never have I seen as many people angry towards a game, as BF2. And they have every right to be.

If they had pride in what they did - if they even played their own game once in a while they'd realise how many little, highly irritating things that are wrong with it.
I'm not saying BF2 isnt value for money, hell, I've spent 8 hours straight many a time... but it doesnt feel like battlefield.
Being successfull in BF2 you have to cheat - bunnyhop, use exploits, blah blah blah, just to compete. It felt more like skill in 1942, hence more rewarding.
I think they've changed the recipe too much.
That's only my personal opinion.

OH my I wonder if the american accent was off, what if it sounded oh I dont know......Candaian? what rivers of tears would flow and flags of patriotism would you wave?
You sir need to shut up!
Well, even though canadians sound like complete stupid ****s. I would let it go...because i'd rather focus on having fun than throwing a temper tantrum over stupid damn voiceovers.
point is....people in the US dont all sound like the voices used for the americans. And people in the UK dont all sound like the voices used for the SAS.
Point being= shut up, deal with it, have fun.

That says a lot about your type of gaming.
The Bf community is becoming a bunch of bitches and winers. Pretty soon it will be like the CS community of COD community, no one helps anyone who is a noob and everyone is rude.
Who would have guessed you came from a CS background?! Shocker!
And BF2 is 10x the game that 42 ever was.
No it isnt. You're just thinking about the pretty graphics and new sounds, gameplay has taken a back seat.
- Think about the glitches when firing AT rocket launcher.
- Glitches when placing C4
- Poorly balanced weapons such as the blackhawk's chainguns, bomb targetting, helo's in general, useless sniper rifles and unloading a whole clip of any assault rifle at point blank range only for the bunny hopping n00b to turn around with their sodding DAO12 and single shot you.
None of this was present in 1942, it was seamless & well balanced.
Please go back to run and gun DC. talk about no sense of achievment. Get in an apache in DC and if your any good you'll have a dozen kills in no time.
You're even admitting it, you HAD to be half decent in DC to fly helos, in BF2 any moron can hover (while taking tank shells, RPG's, SAM's) and just sit there pounding a flag zone / vehicles. Great!!!!!
Its time the community be a little patient and understanding that EA is a company and they make a product to sell and make money
Patience???
- Why cant's we use wildcards in the filter fields of the server browser? This should have made the FIRST patch, nevermind 6 months down the road.
I'm a Software developer, I know how rediculously simple some of these faults are to fix.
Give them a Fu**ing break guys! THink of your own jobs. Imagine going home and reading what a piece of **** your are and how you cant, and dont do your job!
I can almost see where you're coming from here, but when you're selling to this number of customers - they should be able to afford professional staff that dont make errors, and enough of them to fix issues rapidly.
I dont mean to be such a whiner, there's just a good reason to complain.

I want to also see at least 10 more maps, even if they are from BF42. Even better yet perhaps some of the maps from the game packs that we have seen! Awesome and they have even mentioned it on their reviews. I want more maps, i really do.

You've really got to be ****ing kidding me.
You want the game to run like ****, have noob *** plane whores with no counter, bunny hopping idiots, a terrible TK system, crappily run Ranked servers, your friendlies showing up as enemies (adding to TKs) and a PLETHORA of other bugs......just so you can have your ****ing correct voices?
YOU are playing this game for all the wrong reasons. Noone cares if the british sound accurate. Americans dont GIVE A CRAP what you sound like.
Shut up.
If Battlefield 2 was made by a British company and they did the american accents wrong youd probably be the first person to complain, just bear that in mind :) It is a minor problem however and I doubt DICE will ever change it so people will just have to get use to it. And frankly all the problems you have described just make me think that Battlefield 2 is not suited to you. The game is based around vehicles and planes are a vehicle (suprisingly) and it does take an awful lot of skill to become good with the bombs and just being able to fly them. Helicopters also require a lot of skill to pilot very well. On the red name tag but I can understand this is a major problem with the game but Ive never noticed it really, I normally look at the skins to tell what team they're on but thats just my style of play.
Back on topic though its good to see that EA can talk for DICE because we never seem to get an opinion from DICE. Its almost as though EA have locked them up in a cupboard in their offices and told them to build a game for them. Frankly EA is treating its game developing companies in a horrible way and I dont think BF2 will get half the fixes/improvements it needs until EA steps out the way and allows a direct flow between the gamer and DICE employees. Many companies like Infinity Ward and Valve for example are beginning to understand this and allow direct email communication with some of the design team, allowing bugs/problems/queries to skip forums and such and go straight to the development team. This is what DICE needs to take on but I believe it's too late for them now, as almost 50% of DICE is EA. DICE were a good company but got into the wrong crowd and now does bad things for the bully which EA is. Corporations are just like children's playgrounds sometimes. Anyway long post coming to end :)

Wishful of things i would like to see fixed:
Increase the speed of loading the maps.
Fix the netcoding to help stop the lag/studdering.
Even up team points to where both teams start out at the same number.
As for the bunny hoppin'.... i don't know.
Optimize the maps a bit in both BF2 and BF2:SF.
If you have BF2:SF and you want to play at a sever that has the original BF2 maps, they should have to when you click on it does not have to completely restart the game and then load up the sever map and all that happy stuff. ( i hope this make sense).
i will think of more later.....

Get in an apache in DC and if your any good you'll have a dozen kills in no time.
That's the whole point. You had to learn how to fly the helicopters in DC before you could be any good, but it was too difficult for a lot of people so they whined about it and EA dumbed it down. First of all just a bit for BF:V and now even more for BF2
I spent weeks practicing with the helicopters in DC before I could regard myself as any good. A couple of hours is enough for expertise in BF2.

I am not from the CS community, but it doesnt take more than a few games or a few forum reads to figure out what that community is about. I play CS like an hour a month maybey!!! Dont know where you got that stuff??
And secondly I said "if your any good in DC flying and apachie, you can have a dozen kills in no time" How the **** does that show that I am admitting anything more than one could do in DC???? which you go on and on about!
Anyways this is getting way out of hand and exactly what I am talkin about other communitys do , so I want no part of it. meow!
