Hopefully you guys can help me here.
Recently replaced my motherboard after my old one stopped working. On the old motherboard, BF2 worked perfect, as did everything else.
My old MoBo: MSI K8T NEO-FSR Socket 754 VIA K8T800 ATX AMD Motherboard
New Mobo: BIOSTAR NF325-A7 Socket 754 NVIDIA nForce3 250 ATX AMD Motherboard
Since the new Mobo has been installed, BF2 locks up on the opening splash screen when I try to run the game. Fully locks up the system, with just the splash screen showing. I do not have SF and have patched BF2 up to the newest version. All hardware drivers have been updated to the most current version.
System Specs:
-Apollo AGP 6600GT Geforce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card
-AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Newcastle 800MHz FSB Socket 754 Processor
-2x-OCZ Premier Value 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200)
-Western Digital Caviar SE WD800JB 80GB 7200 RPM IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive
Any ideas? Bear in mind that my memory is "value" and the 2 sticks were purchased at different times.
