New to BF2 and modding!

Hey guys,

I have a bit of a stupid question that I hope you can help me with.

I understand that there are a lot of mod maps and things out there for BF2 and wonder how exactly you play this maps.

I undertand that you obviously download them to some folder on you hard disk but how do you actually select them "in-game". Can you play a single player game against bots on them?

Does this also affect you ablilty to play online on ranked servers?

no you cannot play them with bots - u need to join a server which is running the map - it will not be ranked
