with 512 memory, u prob will have to go half medium and half of the settings at low...

not sure, when i had 1 gig i just randomly picked a couple to set at low...u can try all medium and if u dont lag then u are good to go...

well since u have a 6800, it should be able to handle medium pretty fine, but ive never used one b4, so i wouldnt kno 100%, but its a really good card. ur problem IS memory and if u play at moslty medium settings, u will have in game stuttering for like 5 minutes, but if you do a bit tweaking with msconfig and ur forceware menu, itll help...and u can turn off antivirus since the only times u really get viruses is when u go to bad sites and pirated sites...so stay away from those and u should be fine
have a look at tweakguides forceware guide and it will help u make decisions..and remember when it says that u lose image quality, it is like none..i have noticed no difference/ barely any

Sacrifie quality for performance. I have all my settings on low, it looks bad but runs real smooth, for a P4. Look at my rig... My aperture size is locked at 64mb and that is why i lag a lot though...
