Black Flashes then Crash to Desktop

So i finally fixed my connection and FPS problems, but now:

-I tweaked my XP pro using prettymuch everthing said in the tweakguide
-I can start the game and join a server fine (I have intro movies disabled, BF2 is set to high priority)
-I join a game and everyhting goes fine for about 30 seconds, and then every thirty seconds or so after that the screeen flash black. after about 6 cycles of this it flashes black and crashes to desktop. :mad:

-I have a Linksys WRV54G Wireless G Router (port forwarding is enabled for BF2)
-I Also us Norton anti-v and norton internet Security.
-If there is a way to port forward on the Norton Firewall, i cant find it

-nVidia 5700 :cry: with the Xtreme-g 81.95 drivers
-soundblaster Live! 24-bit (EAX is disabled)
-D865 PERL mobo (4.1 BIOS)
-2.8ghz Pentium 4 with HT

answer is:

dont screw around with tweak guides, or the above happens.

i used a tweakguide, but only did the safest and least harmful things like turning off those programs that have ads when your comp turns on, turning off windows update and the like.

reinstall it and it will probably work. if not, undo everything from the tweak guide and reinstall again.

disable your norton stuff too.

ironic thats exactly what happened to mine after i posted that.

it flahsed black a few times and such.

what settings you play it on? that has a lot to do with it, as it stopped being all weird when i reduced the settings.

high priority probably causes more trouble than it fixes. really, in most cases youre better off without it.
