View Full Version : How do you unlock weapons for SP?

Ok, I know, I know, why arn't I playing MP and earning the guns myself...the reason to that is even when I am on my admin account, punkbuster still kicks me...:(.
All I want to know is this: How the hell do I unlock the weapons for SP?
While playing the demo, I changed the 0's to 1's thing, but now that file is like wire-protected. I've done everything trying to fix this. I've changed 1's and 2's to 0's in the .tweak files to no avail. I've made sure that the game was using my files and not /mods/bf2 files...and that hasn't worked either.
Please help me, I just wanna pwn bots all day long...;)

Edit the Kits so Unlocks are The regular weapons

well, the problem with that is whenever I mod the kits to my liking (aka making it so I have all the SF weapons) in my direct copy of BF2, it doesn't load correctly. I am not changing anything that SF wouldn't have, so it's confusing me....
I'll go try that again, and make sure I dont mess with anything...

ps. Should I edit both the objects_server.zip and objects_client.zip? Or should I only do one specifically.

Shouldn't need to change objects_client to mod kits unless you need to make a duplicate weapon (see the links I posted in your other thread for why you might want to do that). If all you want to do is make the SF unlocks your normal weapons you just change unlockLevel 2 to unlockLevel 0 in the kit .con files.

i'll try out changing 2's to 0's again
hopefully it'll work...
the only thing i am good at with modding is modding weapons
and any1 can do that
at least i dont suck with graphics :)

Care to give more details? It works for me (although I hadn't tested it until just now). (Note that the lock symbol stays on the weapon in the kit selection screen but if you spawn you will have the unlock. Probably setting unlockLevel 1 to unlockLevel 0 too would make the lock symbol disappear but wouldn't change anything else.)
