Turn Off Name Tags and HUD Crap???

Love the game but man, I wish EA would have given us an ON/OFF toggle for the HUD display and the colored floating name tags.

Good God! I was playing last night and just had to laugh....I mean, my screen was a cartoon swimming with blue names, squad leader locators and the upper left of the screen filled with multi colored script extending like to the middle of the screen....I could barley keep focused on the game. Do I really give a crap who killed me or seeing that "MajorKiller" killed "DemonBreath666?"
Now, throw in the "3D Map" and....well forget it.

You can toggle off the 3D Map but apparently nothing else.

For the love of Christ, is it possible to create a cvar or cfg file to get rid of the running script, the floating names and the mini map? Or at least a toggle for the mini map...that is really all you need and access to the full map view.

yeah, i no exactly what you mean. i think there is way too much useless info. about things that just are not important. if there is a way to fix it. i am without a doubt getting my hands on it :p

the minimap view can be made invisible through the options menu, as for the rest, have you tried using tape?

is a coomadn along the lines of: renderer.drawhud X

X represents 1 or 0, zero is for off and 1 is for the opposite..

or you can press ALT to disable the 3d map..
