Need help sigh

OK so I reformatt cause of spybots over ran me =\ I have to sperate hard drives. I formatted teh C:\ and left the other one alone cause it was good. SO after im done fixing everything I try to run bf2. It loads and everything is good. I clicked Multiplayer, choose a server and it CTD. So I reinstall with the new patch ( didnt feel like installin SF) I try it again. It CTD. I installed new drivers for GFX card *correctly* and still doesnt work. Any advise?

What drivers did you install, have you modified any content ?

What graphics card do you have ?

For the record, try this. Uninstall Bf2.

Install Bf2 > Install SF (If you think something went wrong with the patch, reinstall from the cd again, eg. Explore > Patch > Patch.exe). Install SF.

ATI x800pro, I had 5.12 now i got 5.13, I am re-installing and ill install SF later cause I just wanna paly :D

Have you re-installed yet? It could just be a bad install.
If that doesn't help, try the different patches, and see if the game starts on either of them.

Have you installed the latest version of your motherboard drivers after formatting? Also, if you go to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager, are there any items there listed with a yellow question mark next to them?

When you re-installed, did you delete the contents of My Documents\Battlefield 2 and delete the registry entries?

Sometimes that helps.
