I recently installed the Special Forces add-on and tried to do a single-player lan game with my brother and it always crashes right at the "join game" screen.
We've played the original BF2 many different times with a lan setup so I know it can be done.
I have NO problems playing single player games and I've never had it crash once.
It's only after he sets up a LAN game and it gets to the "join game" screen (after loading) does it crash to desktop.
We're both running on new Windows installs (we've played the original BF2 lan games after the fresh installs and had zero issues) and we both upgraded to the 1.12 patch. We've both uninstalled both games from each computer and re-installed them but get the same issues.
I've searched and searched and couldn't find any help. We both play tons of other lan games using newer games (Star Wars Battlefront 2, Sniper Elite, etc..) and get no problems whatsover....so it's definitely an isolated incidence.
Any help? I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out what's going on.
