View Full Version : So why is SF being such a douche?

Okay, my crisis here is that everytime i quit out of SF, it won't EVER reopen. (i hope you got my emphasis there) Basically, i can only play SF once per restart... which sucks... because what if i wanted to play miniclip games or something but not suck my comp's memory? (i know i know, it doesn't but thats my excuse.)

When I go to restart my SF, I get the EA "i'm loading our crappy-loading screen portion of our game onto your computer" screen with the tank on it. And 2..(around there) i will get a SF.exe has had some kind of crisis because EA is loaded with dickheads who refuse to make a quality game with the least possible glitches/errors/bugs/shenanigans.

ERGO, everytime I feel like playing SF after it's already been opened, I've gotta restart my computer. Sure it's not a big deal really... to YOU. My Madden 06 does not run unless my computer's been on at least an hour or so because like I've previously stated, EA is full of dickheads, etc., etc..

Any solutions? Thank you. Enjoy your holidays... Because I know I won't.

I recommended solving a similar problem by loading their BF2 CD/DVD as a mounted mini-image.

You could try that.

The reason is, sometimes the copy protection can be a ***** and cause problems.

The mounted mini-image eliminates that issue entirely.

is there some sort of forum rule that I don't know about that requires everyone who has a question or needs help, to include some sort of EA bashing? I am getting a little tired of this late trend, where nobody just comes in and asks for help, I guess it is the cool thing to do? Bash EA, then people will help me more.

well i posted this at 3 in the morning, i was a little groggy, i should've been sleeping but instead, i cared more about fixing my SF. but it's not like it's not a fact that EA provides poor service in terms of tech support and patches.

People forget BF1942 and how buggy and laggy it was when it first came out. Now look at it. I can only imagine is a matter of time before they get BF2 running that well.

But what is the benefit, when coming to this forum and asking for help, to throw in a little tirade about EA? I don't understand why everyone thinks this is so important. I read through the issues and then I have to get derailed into some little tantrum about EA. We all know by now that EA is not there for tech support, that's why you come here for help. Nuff said.
