Vsync ON/OFF ?

I have an LCD screen and 7800GT card...
i play @ 1280*1024 with 2xAA and everything on HIGH ... should i set VSYN ON or better OFF?
with OFF there i notice very little ghosting effect from LCD (it's 8ms response time)
if i set it to ON i will have 60FPS max... is it ok? cause with OFF the FPS go much higher...

I go with OFF for the FPS boost on all games but I don't have an LCD monitor.

is there a command to force BF2 to have Vsync ON?
i don't want to set it from nvidia control panel...

Why not? You can set up an application specific profile that enables VSYNC for BF2 only from within the nVidia control panel applet.

while we are on the subject of the forceware driver control panel, has anyone got the best settings for bf2 so i can setup a profile for it: athlon 3200+ x 64, pny geforce 6200 256mb agp(shader model 3), 1 gig corsair ddr400, 80 gig seagate barracuda mobo~abit av8(oc)

Off, vsync locks FPS to the refresh rate, which isn't all bad, but most of the time you can get better perofrmances without it on.
