Join Server = Crash

Ive just started to encounter a problem with BF2 this morning. I started up BF2 SF, logged in, and joined a server. To my surprise as soon as i clicked on one of my fav servers it just crashed to desktop.

After re installing it, i noticed the background movie wasnt there, even after it was freshly installed and had not been tampered with. The same problem occured again, crash to desktop...

Any idea on how to fix this?

Have you installed any mods lately?

Not at all. Only thing in the Custom games is SF and Bf2 (1.12)

How much % does it load to?? I ask because i just started having this happen to me today(i have been playing SF all day , just started about 1 hour ago) It loads to 20% then crashes to the desktop. It really sucks too becuase i want to play bf2 right now not ****ty *** cs:s

Zero.. Doesnt even get to the loadin screen.

This happened to me once when I screwed up installation of my motherboard chipset drivers.

Try re-installing DirectX and your motherboard drivers.

Otherwise, delete your cache files:
..\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

PS - What are you system specs?

Emptied my cache... How do you reinstall direct X... Id have to re install SF to get to where it says re install direct X too? Cuz theres nothing in my Direct X Program files folder... Which is abit weird...

You aren't running any refresh rate forcing applications or using the nVidia control panel to force refresh rate, are you?
