Yep, Union Pacific's personnel training has suffered because of the company's financial setbacks. Look at this poor employee, he doesn't realize that the bottom of boxcars are solid. He hasn't been trained in the rules of clipping.

Heh, this is my pic, I submited it awhile ago, like 2 months ago. Kind of suprised to see that they chose it. About the graphics, I rely on a good FPS to get good scores, so I do anything to get the FPS higher.

The truth, I was on Karkand at the bridge control point. I was on American side and was taking it over, I heard arty being fired off, I could even see the cannons from where I was, so I jumped under the train and got creamed :p

I have a 6600GT 128mb with everything on high (no AA) and it runs smooth. Sometimes also with 16xAF

Just to let you guys know, I've now stepped up the settings on Geometry and shadows up to high. It runs fine until the memory leak kills me. Then it just chugs at 10 fps, not fun.

As I'm to understand, there is no memory leak anymore, just an overall general peformance hit. But don't change your settings just because other people are critical of you. Personally, I think TBF2 should get rid of the POTD because so many people are d1cks about it. Sure, it's a forum and thus comments are welcome, but everyone suddenly becomes Siskel and Ebert's evil twins.

But hey, I'm guilty as well. It's hard not to feel powerful when you can add your own two, obviously very important, cents.

Still though, put your settings back to where they were. Peformance over quality if you can't afford the quality. Eye candy importance depends on how vain you are about your computer. I'm pretty vain so I'm willing to get a second job to build a new computer, but most people would say that that's pretty insane. =P
