Assault On Fallujah:

U.S. and Iraqi commanders have vowed to stamp out Sunni Muslim guerrillas who control Fallujah, part of a campaign to put down insurgents ahead of vital January elections. Marine commanders have warned the assault could bring the heaviest urban fighting since the Vietnam war.

I think you already know this but.... Fallujah doesnt look like that.

Well the 64 player version will have all ground vehicles, plus helos (Attack, and transport). The 32 player layer is all ground vehicles, minus the helos. The 16 player is all infantry. No vehicles at all. :D

From the minimap it looks like a great map, however, Fallujah is a city in the desert. I think the title of the map is going to throw alot of people off because

A.Fallujah isnt surrounded by water
B.Dosent have a cooling tower around it
C.Isnt that mountainious(sp?)

Ya I have to agree. The map looks awesome, but it's a little silly to call it "Assault on Fallujah" when the map is an island, but Fallujah is in the middle of a desert.

Can you mod the helo's to fire white phosphourous at civillians? Just for authenticity.

You could even have a mission where you have to kidnap and attempt to assasinate an Italian journalist who has evidence of the US using banned weapons and is attempting to expose all. Again, just for authenticity.

Anyone know how to change the name of a map. Sorry this map is inaccurate as i just came up with a name and did everything by hand. I never looked at a map or anything. I just remember Fallujah being in the news at one point. I think maybe a more fitting title would be "Assault_On_Kuwait". I would even like to do a sequal to this map in a more urban/city setting, a continuation of this map IN the city like Kuwait, or even eventually Fallujah. :D

well the way I do it is generate the mini map for your editor, then take a pic of your screen and save it into paint, then cut it out of the rest of the pic and save it as something, then set your size down to whatever the size of the mini map is.

I located the file C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels\Assault_On_Al_Jahrah\Hud\Minimap \ingameMap.DDS

To get this, in the editor on the right --> you will see a button saying "show map". Push this and it generates your minimap.dds.

I opened up the file in photoshop, and resized the image to 512x512. Then i save this file for each player count. One for each 16,32,and 64 player layer. Name them gpm_cq_16_menuMap, gpm_cq_32_menuMap, and gpm_cq_64_menuMap. Save these 3 pictures as .png files in this directory: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels\Assault_On_Al_Jahrah\Info

Why does it have to be named after an arab country, or per say any muslim country, why cant it be named Assault on Texas or some other US state or Assault on Paris or something. LOL.. STOP downgrading us!!!!Not every muslim wants their city blown to bits, in real life or Games lol.. :p j/k
