Can't Play Wake Island 2007 anymore

Seems ever since installing Special Forces I can't play Wake Island 2007.
It will load, but when it starts I get a window box telling me I have to revert to an 'unmodified version'.
Well, I've never modified anything on this game.
I've contacted EA and they keep telling me the same (#*%(#) thing.
That is to download the latest patch (1.12update) and install it.
Those idiots must not read my replies because they keep telling me I haven't responded, and to do the same thing over and over again.
Anyway, EA isn't the issue.
I can't play Wake Island anymore, and it's my favorite MAP!!

Got any suggestions?

Someone else had a problem with this, I believe that the wake map was in an earlier patch and that patch needs to be installed then the 1.12 patch. Not sure if you have the old patch available.

First off you're not missing anything by not playing Wake Island, the map sucks.

Did you install the latest patch AFTER you installed SF? You never said so in your post.

this happened to me, just downlaod and instakk hte 1.12 patch again and everything should work because thats what i did with this same probllem

According to the tech at EA we (my brother has the same problem!) have to uninstall both BF2 and SF's, reinstall BF2, play it in single player mode to make sure it's working.
Install Special Forces and do the same thing.
Then install the patche(s?).

Has anyone else had to do all this?
I find if aweful odd both my brother a me have had the same problem...

I'm looking forward to hearing more on this.

Thanks for the help ... I'm having the same problem :( however I did install the 1.12 patch after SF sooo ... ah well i'll try it again.
