I bought a Medusa 5.1 Surround Sound Headphone along with X-Fi Platnium, but when i connect the headphone through the Amps, everything sounds terrible but if I only connect the headphone to the Front Jack without going through the amps and turn on CMSS 3d , everything sounds fantastic. Anyone knows whats going on?

I have similar set up and the sound is unreal - first time I heard artillery though my medusas, I actually ducked !!!!

I suspect you haven't properly connected the amp to the sound card, or maybe you havent disabled the on board audio on your motherboard

Open up the Creative mixer in Game Mode.

Set your speaker setup to 5.1 speakers.

Turn down your master and wave volumes to 50%.

Then, enable Bass Redirection and set the Crossover Frequency slider to around 80Hz and enable the Subwoofer gain (+15dB).

Try that and let me know.

I'm also getting some poor performance with my Medusa 5.1 & Fatal1ty X-FI card. I've used your suggested recommendations, but everything in front of me sounds flat i.e. grenades, tanks. I know there's bass cause they rattle a bit when I play. I have the front channel turned up to about 9, the rears to 10, the center channel to about 7 and the sub at about 6, with the amp turned up almost all the way. Any other sugggestions
