Movie Submissions

I will be opening a site dedicated to displaying/hosting movies, screenshots, whatever else for the community very soon.

If you would like to have materials featured plese contact me to submit them. When submitting them please include a nice screenshot, movie title, and name for credit. The site is going to start out pretty simple and improve as I put more time into it. I hope to get some sort of rough copy running tonight.

I'm going to try to keep this as banner/advertiser free alternative for hosting community movies and such, assuming there is enough intrest.

Yes they could, but they have file size restricstion, banners, etc. Plus this was meant to be more of a site for people to browse and see a gallery diffrent BF2 movies unlike putfile where you would have to search for them.

But whatever, if noone is intrested I'll just scrap the idea.

All videos are on filecloud in TBF2 sections, at least all the good ones

Also to properly host alot of movies you'd need to pay lots of money for the server and to get money to pay for it you would need banner ads which goes against your plan.

Huh, why all this hostility? If he wants to put up a site that will host videos then let him. By your logic, why even make new BF2 movies when there are so many out already?

I for one really like the idea, but it's a mystery to me how you would solve the financial problem of hosting 50-300 MB videos without some banners or something o_O

Well i would be interested to my film is nearly finished and to keep the graphics nice it gonna be a 13minute film at 179mb putfile only take 100mb and thats that i can bin it. no where to put it hope it goes a head i have pm you anyway look forward to reply or anyone else got a nice place for 179mb :)) Wish you all Happy Newyear

Right now I have 250GB of transfer bandwith a month for less than $4.00, which should be plenty for a small movie site. If needed I could upgrade to 500GB for $10 or 1000GB for $20.

It's not that expensive at all, and if I neede to upgrade I'm sure I could ask for donations to cover to cost....

But whatever, evidently it is pointless and a stupid idea...

Just go ahead and make it IMO, once you have a solid (complete) idea and a functional website up - people will thank you later :)
