Whats up with all these risqué sigs? [Archive]

It seems that more and more users are using 'risqué' sigs in their signatures and avatars - I think it should be allowed.

Let me get something straight first before the flames coming. I see nothing wrong with these sigs - in fact they are quite nice (especially AO's ones, lol) but I can see why people would be offended.

Its not just young males on this forum - there are many different people on this site, female or male, and I don't think they might want to see these sigs. I know of one person who has left the forum because of it.

I guess its up to you, but I think you should do something about it at least!

and for those who don't know what risqué means:

But it just seems to be that every other sig is a fricking softcore advertisement, and I just think it sends out the wrong message. Its for the TBF2 Staff to decide.

Remember this is a gaming site - not a flipping place to look at girls - go to other sites for that.

I'm a 16 year old, i've played GTA, i'm not some socially retarded "omg cooties" guy. I dont have a problem with it. Its just not right to be here spammed in everyone's sigs - as I say, it gives the wrong impression of the site.

I'm just trying to put my point across better than The Question did (who seems to believes that forums are for blogging on) - i'm making a valid point properly and not like "omgwtfbbq p0rn noes" and not trying to incite flamings, i understand your opinion but i'm only trying to put across mine as well.

Anyway - I seriously doubt SNES games had nekkid girls in, lol.

I don't know about other people, but I care about this site. This site is the best damn BF2 fan site around, and I hope it stays that way.
The Site needs more members all the time, that way things stay fresh. I'm not talking about noobs and idiots, but the normal, mature people who might be married or whatever, will come on here and see these sigs and leave. I wonder how many good, mature, members we have lost out on because of these mature sigs.

I made a new thread because the other one was a waste of time - started by a fool and full of flaming. This thread is not about only AO's sigs, although he makes a lot, there are others out there, and its becoming a competition to see who can be more and more ruder it seems.

We all know i'm the one and only( I have only made sigs like mine for like 4 people and won't make anymore), one person has tried to be like me and failed...plus i leave on feb 1st (no more AO). Bucket guy is married and he asked me for a sig like mine and I made it for him.What do you know about new people? everytime I welcome someone in the weclome section they say something good about my sig.Go back to the Sir forum if you don't want to look at my sigs.

It's not really porn, is it? I see more nudity on an average night on the telly. I doubt it there's anyone in here who has never seen a lass in a bikini before. I don't see why it would upset people or make them feel uncomfortable.
The word censorship on these forums is more than enough uptightness.

I'm not saying it is porn, but it could degenerate into it as people try to get more and more radical. AO's sigs are not straight out porn, but some of the avatars and sigs i've seen from him are...very... shall we say... suggestive :p

Just a little imput from me. Im female and not one single sig Ive seen on this forum has offended me. However if some are offended by any sigs/avatars all they need to do is go into their User CP / Edit Options and take the ticks off the display signatures and display avatars. Simple solution really :)

There also isn't anything stopping girls from putting 85% naked men on their sigs. And you see far more partially clothed women just looking at billboards in any major town. IMO

Well said. Im also amazed at the full on flaming Fullforce received. He actually said risque sigs should be encouraged, but with a little moderation. Which is a fair comment: as a member of a community we should all respect the other demographics on the site.

Obviouslly though as a very red-blooded 24yo I love AO's sig and avatar. :cool::p

I think the site is fine though. If anyone wants to complain they can always call a Mod.

Yeah, thanks to you as well, i was shocked by the flaming i received as well, but i understand AO's point now - there was an Anti AO thread that probably got his back up, thats fine, we're sorted now.

My point being that if someone spells it 'muslem', it's safe to say they probably don't know a whole lot about that religion and thus their argument is probably ignorant. You're right, this forum should not have to abide by specific rules and the Islamic laws are the muslims' problems to deal with if they choose to come here; especially given the online FPS community and how they act.
