patch troubble

hey guys this is my first post. just got the game today and upgraded my system to be able to play it but i downloaded the new patch (1.12) and now every time i go to play online it tells me that i gotta get the official version or some crap im really upset and i want to play the game. any help is much apreciated.

Ok based on the limited information you provided us with I would say your issiue is an out of date punkbuster file.

Before I go any father the please verify the following...

Game does load.

Can get to the multiplayer browser tab

Can see servers in the list...

Is it when you click on a server and attempt to load you get the message?

Lastly before I send you off in the wrong direction please post the actual error you are recieving...

Well I am off to bed man... I will say this.. If your getting a punkbuster message..

Download and run this... In fact you have to if you want to play on line. Once downlaed dont forget to run it and select BF2. Then let it update the anti cheat files.
