Let me start by saying that I'm a little disappointed that you locked the flame thread about the booster pack of maps. I think that the tone of that thread was actually turning quite posistve when people mentioned the breakdown in costs and that it was more than simple 3 maps as the original poster said. Of course I may have missed something that hit you on a personal level and if that was the case then I understand. EA is a very large company and as such will undoubtedly have made less than popular decisions. I have not seen any sort of open flames about them or about Dice, at least no worse than any other game maker/ publisher.
I was really looking forward to questioning the sanity of the poster in that thread that made the comment about the British army but it sort of loses it's flavor if it's not taken in context with the rest of the thread. Is this site owned by EA or Dice? It might be a stupid question but that would certainly explain the action. Otherwise I'm sort of at a loss as to the lock and subsequent ban threat.

I enjoy this site very much, as this is where I get all my BF2 related information. As a rule I'm against the locking of threads, unless they are blatant attacks on others as I feel the community is a strong one and will more than make up for the opinions of a single person.

Of course one of the advantages of being a board moderator is that you don't need to eplain your actions to the community but I'd ask you to just give us your reasoning please.

Thank you

I guess I just don't understand why the first thread was locked yet more appeared saying even worse stuff about the companies involved yet they remain open. It's apparent to me that those posting didn't get the message.

Well probably because if i am correct than we can say what we want about companies because they are not really aphiliated with this website so it is not locked. But when someone starts flaming another person than it just turns into a bunch of people flaming eachother and the occasional kid who chimes in because he thinks he looks cool by flaming someone just because others are. So basicaly it is in my thoughts that threads are closed due to attacks on someone who is here often and might be offened while threads that are just a little flaming on a certain company.(it is also in my mind that from what i have seen people say about EA or DICE is nothing compared to what people have said towards other people, because saying such things as "ea sucks because they arent realistic" isnt really anyting big. But once someone says something like " your a @%#^ because you just said something that i did not like, oy my opinion of that is differant than yours" than that kind of thing should be stopped.
Anyone understand what i mean or was it to uncomprehensible?
