To the totalbf2 team,
I want to thank you for your work on this great BF2 community website. I really enjoy discussing the game with fellow gamers. Ok, to my point. I've recently noticed some sigs that people have been sporting around that are quite inappropriate, especially for the audience that you keep. I have a quote from your own signature rules post.
3 – Appropriate Images.
Appropriate images: Images of a sexual nature, contain expletives, are racially prejudiced/insulting, hateful, threatening or contain inappropriate language or are religiously offensive are not permitted for use here. Any such image will be promptly removed upon discovery. These rules also apply to profile pictures and avatars. Please remember that this a gaming forum that is intended to be suitable for all ages and for all locations e.g. schools and the workplace. Parents should not have to worry about the content of a forum designated as appropriate for all ages.
I hope that this will persuade you, the TotalBF2 site team, to take action against these offensive signatures.
Thank you for listening,
~BF2MilkMan

what does post count have to do with wanting to clarify a rule?

Who else have you written letter's too? ABC, NBC, TBS, FOX, ESPN, CBS, MTV, VH1, Victoria's Secret Catalog's, or any website that most kids look at when Mommy and Daddy aren't home? I've seen maybe 2 that are questionable. Even the women/girls on the site don't care. If you are truly bothered by any sigs, then I'm sorry. But the fact is that most of these sig have G rated material. I've seen more on the beach volleyball avp tour. All sorts of kid's there. How about Olympic diving, figure skating, gymnastics? Half of them are kids. Broadcasted to billions all over the globe.

yet he has been a member of the forums since March 2 months longer than you, but because you have spammed the forums more, you have some sort of "rank" over him? Post count means nothing.

he honly has 85 posts but he has been around longer than you AO. LOL
post count really doesnt mater because there is a guy with two thousand some posts and i have been here 2 months longer than that guy. it usually means they spam especially 2000 in 2-3 months. But lizards got a point because post count aint much if he knows what he is talking about.because he actually has seniority over you. lol( the guy who started the thread i mean)(well BL does to but thats besides the point.LOL)(like the guy named talus. he has almost 2900 posts, but he registered here a month after i did, and i only have 380. so how many posts you have doesnt mean anything about wether people listen or not, or if you deserve respect, OR if anyone even knows you. Because the people who have many posts in a short amount of time probably make those posts that are worthless, like the "lol" or "that was funny" posts. if you get what i mean)
edit- LOL me and BL just pointed out the same thing at the same time. man that makes me laugh.

lol.
Anyway you can't really change anything this way, it's upto the mods, if the moderators consider them inappropriate, they'll be removed or they will notify the community.
Also please do not turn this into an Islam thread

Yes, I consider posts that contribute nothing to be spam, as for what forums it is in, I just grabbed the first ones saw (not counting the welcome forums), if I wanted to I'm sure I could come upwith just as many from other forums....

So your saying I should not welcome people? The off topic section/welcome does not add up to your post count.

No, you misunderstood me. I meant I wasn't counting the welcome ones.

umm. isnt BF2 Rated as Mature??? So little kids shldnt be viewing these forums then should they. Its up to the parents if they let there kid purchase the game.
And anyway u should be doin work when ur at ur workplace not browsing these forums.
This has nothing to do with post count or spam and to continuing talking about these things is off topic and umm well spam :p
The original poster was merely expressing his opinion on the matter and also making reference to totalbf2's own rules in regards to signatures, which Im sure they put in place for a reason. Granted he(the original poster) probably could have posted this in one of the 2 existing threads on this subject.
Although the sigs dont bother me, I see nothing wrong with his post and dont believe he should be flamed down for making it.
As for the sigs, only the Admins and Mods can decide to take action against any they deem inappropriate. In the meantime if they really bother you, turn off the ability to view them in your UserCP.

for things like this I am glad I live in Europe (Belgium) , here we don't care about stuf like this, here we have naked boobs in advertisings on tv, even big posters along highways sometimes contain naked boobs etc....
In the US they cry for help or start a lawsuit if they see something that looks like a boob or naked but

To answer the question of the original poster, it has been determined that sigs such as AO's are at the absolute limit of what will be accepted. This was decided upon by the people who run the site. As someone else mentioned if you find them offensive go into your control panel and disable sigs, or right click the image and say block images.
ps. AO you don't need to jump all over every thread that is created on this topic. I know you feel personally attacked, but if your sig was not allowed do you really think it would still be there?

Thanks for the response on this issue BadLizzard. I actually have blocked the images allready, but it just erks me to think that a lot of kids and teens (<18) are exposed to pornography every day. By the way, I just looked up a definition from websters online dictionary on the word pornography Definition: Pornography
Pornography:
Noun
1. Creative activity (writing or pictures or films etc.) of no literary or artistic value other than to stimulate sexual desire.
By creative activity, it means any form of media. I'm not trying to start a revival or anything i'm just concerned about the degrading state of this sites morals. I'm also very suprised that you would allow AO's sig ,but it's not my decision to make. AO's sig would fall under this category.
Lastly I want to express my reasoning for creating a seperate thread on this issue. I'm not trying to speak for anyone else (Male, Female, child, porn- addict, etc.) other than myself. I wanted to present this issue as professionally as I could and hope that you would take it seriously.
Thank you for listening.

Edit: I also would like to show you this: http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/battlefield2/us/home.jsp
If you look at the bottom of the page it shows that this game is "T", 13+ rated.

hey raawr... whatever it is. How can you really know what he is takling about if you just joined. if you are so concerned than why is your only comment the fact that you love the chick sigs and that he made one for you. And if he made one for you than why arent you wearing it? Also when you say "screw it" what exactly do you mean? screw this website?*opens the door and has milk and cookies outside* or do you mean screw the sigs?
