My score is 3083. I'm not happy about it. I've read that if you take a Gig of ram out your score will improve. I don't care to do this so is my score ok
for my specs with 2 Gigs. My comp runs BF2 great with mostly high settings.

I don't know and doubt whether that is true. But if your comp can run bf2 on mostly high settings anyway who cares about 3dmark scores

This is true but overclocking is part of the fun for me. My OC specs are solid
as a 12hr prime 95 run proves (almost). I fear that if I pull a stick of matched ram out it my OC efforts will be trashed. 24hrs would be best but I quit the test.

Those scores are pretty low for your card. You have the latest chipset drivers for you mobo? Try turning off anti-virus, and any unnecessary "resource hog" programs.

How are you getting that score? That is really low. I would've assumed at least a 5500.

I'm at work right now but I'm going to look into the mobo drivers.

I understand...... My point is there is only so much you will accomplish in these forums and you might be better serverd looking in the appropriate place. I do not know that you need to OC but I would start with a driver update and work from there on your mobo and card. Obviously you will need to go through the process of elimination.

It is overclocked. I want to work on this exe configs next I'm at work now and cant play till around 7 tonight. This exe stuff is scary to me. I set it to basic (or something like that) and I couldnt log on so of course I restored. I know there is some exes to disable I just gotta figure out wich ones.

Sweet! Now OC the hell out of your videocard! :D And post back w/ results! Sorry I was at work. My video card is over clocked. Maybe not max but enough. About this exe file closing how do you figureout wich ones to close.
I'm not sure that the program Smartclose does anything that can't be done
with windows xp. Any suggestions or is it not worth messing with.
Thanks
Filthy

It's really hard to NOT pay attention to the 3dmarkscore.... i got myself to just ignore it because with me it varies a lot especially after the latest windows update... from 6722 to 6800.... i dont know what it is..

I wouldn't pay much attention to 3D Mark 05 scores the more important part is the performance in-game. Who cares if I scored a 100000000 in 3D Mark but only got 20FPS in game? No one.
