Can't get a new name

As my current name has my old clan tag in it, I need a new one. For some reason any suggestion. no matter what I put in has already been taken. Am I missing something or what? If the names ok, the password is already in use or it's the other way round.

So somewhere someone has already used my mobile phone number for their password. I find that hard to believe.

welcome to the wonderful world of gamespy ! i have the same trouble except i know my old aco**** details but it refuses to log me in....

mailed em.. they said they wont delete my account even though i can prove its mine and the dont support free accounts.. the whole name system and gamespy/gamespyid is utter toss.

It's the same kind of system as AOL, even if something is remotely similar to somehting that is already used they will reject it, utterly stupid I agree.
