There won't be a 64 bit version but it should work just fine. Just download it and install it.

You can't download and istall it by using the "EA Downloader" if you have XP64,
I have the same problem and im running XP64, I couldn't Download SF via EA Downloader.
I have been sending E-mails to EA about this, but no respons yet (Or ever) Going to take a walk to EA HQ next week if i don't get the right answer,
It's just a block away

There shouldn't be any problems installing on x64. I got a warning when installing VanillaBF2: "This version has only been tested on 32-bit OS", but I never had a problem.

Have you tried using the old 32-bit Internet Explorer? I have to use that one to view flash sites, or sites like windows update and other auto-update/download sites.
It's located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about too, sorry if I was unclear.
In XP64 you have an Internet Explorer, but you also have an IE32-bit icon somewhere. I've had lots of problems with flash and auto-download/script sites using the standard x64 Internet Explorer, but they all work in Internet Explorer 32-bit. It's just a matter of finding the icon/setting up the shortcut :)

You know why, because Windows is **** fullstop. Have you heard of Linux? Battlefield 2 will work on that and Linux has full 64 bit support.

I have Win x64 and the EA web site will not download the installer on x64. My work around was to SAVE instead of RUN the INSTALLER on to my 32 bit machine then move it to my x64 comp then run it. It installed & I used it to dnload SF no problem.

The EA web site does a check on your OS and will not direct you to the download page with x64. You will have to get the INSTALLER on a 32 bit OS then MOVE it to your x64 machine.
The problem is with the EA WEB SITE detection of your OS the installer, BF2 & SF run beautifully on Windows XP Pro 64 Edition I love it and will NOT go back to 32. I built 3 machines with 32 XP all were good but 32 XP needs to be restarted constantly to run smooth, 32 XP has allways been buggy. My x64 Windows never slows down I can leave it on for days, Play BF2 then play FarCry x64 then go do some image stuff with GIMP go play Americas Army with never a slow down. XP 32 can't do that it needs to be rebooted, at least thats been my expireince over the years.
Win XP x64 uses Windows Server 2003 X64 memory manager, it is able to handle up to 128 Gig of onboard MOBO RAM (32XP only 4gig if your lucky) & 16 terabites of virtual memory (again 32XP only 4gig). While both 32 & 64 see all memory as virtual memory x32 will only use 2gig for accually run'n programs and use the other 2 for pageing (it can be forced to use 3 gig) while x64 is able to use all physical memory for run'n programs and only pages when necesary.

Ya but comparing Linux to MS is like comparing IBM to Apple sure its better but who uses it.
Go into any store that sells software look on the box, more than likely it'll say Windows required.
