the gto 2 will never be the x850 xt... so try clocking it back a bit.. and do you only have low fps when you're playing online or also offline ? because when it's only online it might be punkbuster

well, even wit the GTO2 you should be getting somewhat better FPS most likely. And red, the GTO2 is built on the x850xt chip, so a flash of the BIOS and it is there, so in reality, when you buy a GTO2 it IS already a x850 in theory ^_^. both nvidia AND ATi do this, it saves money in making chips, if they downclock it or disable pipelines. I think you're mad because you paid extra for your card ^_^. If it is generating too much heat because it has a inadiquite heatsink yes, that would decrease performance, but it is built on theh x850 chip so it should be fine.
My best guess would just be ram, with ANY video card, at all high settings, it still needs 2GB of ram to be constant. 35 FPS isnt THAT bad. Bf2 is more RAM based than video card. I learned the hard way.
BTW: You have the sinlge PCIexpress version of the motherboard that I really want! Damn you!

What's the difference between the gto2 and the x800?

well, the GTO2 is considered a x800, but what they did was: took the x850 chip and downclocked it and disabled piplines and put it in the x800 series. the rest of the x800's are used with the regular x800 chip, and just have more memory than other or have high clock speeds. if that helps.

How would you compare the x800 to the x800 xl? I know they sound the same, but I have a regular x800, no extension names or anything.
