Can't find any good threads to post

Is it just me, or has the whole forum been infested by morons? I can't find even one good conversations in front page. All I see is "Should I get unlock X or Y?", " I FRICKING HATE X WHORES!" or some random shat.
Really, I don't care if you got a X medal, or some admin kicked you for no reason. I have trouples finding anything worthwhile to post into.
And I have also seen, that flaming has become one of the major ways of replying. If someone disagrees with the other one, he flames him. Then everybody joins the bandwagon and flameparteh has begun.
And sometimes I wonder why don't people care about their gammar. I mean, everybody has gone to school right? There they force you to learn spelling and pronaunsing. Why can't people try to write complete sentences and with capital letters and dots. It can't be that hard?

You didn't give us your feedback, you gave us your rant. We don't control the people who come here and we don't tell them to post what they do. If they wish to post about what weapon they think is more powerful or what map they prefer over another, so be it.

If you don't enjoy this board, who's forcing you to stay? Find a board that has posts you like and want to be part of. Thanks for your "feedback".

I get a decent 1-2 posts a day so your coming pretty close to about 4-5 a day and i can bet most of it is nonsense or flaming just like what you were complaining about.

Actually I sorta agree. Lately the front page threads have been incredibly weak and mostly repetative.

So here's my suggestion - it may or may not help. Know that area on the New Post screen where you say, in big red letters, "Search before you post..."?

You oughta replace it with links to existing threads that already cover the top 5 latest topics. Right now they'd be:

- DICE layoffs
- Unexpected unlocks
- People who have gotten their stats reset
- Patch and Booster Packs
- Basecamping

When another topic starts spawning more than a few threads you can rotate it in for one of the topics above that has died down. It'll take some work to decide what will be in the 5 slots, but I can't imagine it being any more work than shutting down redundant threads, and the overall effect will make the front page way more interesting to read. We'll have 20 threads about 20 topics instead of 20 threads about 4 topics.

Folks will be a lot more likely to click a link that addresses their topic, rather than try searching (which never works anyway).

Just an idea.

On another note - have you all considered having regular columnists? I'd love to have a small area to post write-ups and get responses. Kind of like a featured poster, but with a nice way to call up older posts.

Um, just cause peopple post here a lot doesn't mean they spam, i don't spam or flame like at all, and look at me, i've got around 2900 posts and i came here in april, and i have almost 10 posts a day. That's cause i like helping people, i can't play BF2 at my workstation, but i can browse the internet to my wishings (i got two computers, one that's running unix for programing, and the ohter just has windows 2000 pro at my workstation). So i post here, cause i can help people, and helping people gives me a 'good feeling' in my heart.

this post just shows what the forum has come to. One guy has his an opinion about this forum and lately I agree. So then a bunch of guys jump all over him and flame leave and your a spam person. Come on can't we all just get along.

I came to this forum (if anyone cares) to learn things about BF2 and maybe share some knowledge of my own and lately I get flamed for anything I say and I am trying really hard to be the bigger man a shrug it off. Im not saying this so it will be fixed/corrected cause I do not think it can... I am just stating my opinion.. So who has a problem with that...Lets hear it?

I think we all need to take less offence to someone elses opinion..I am guilty of this too but its the only way to be constructive and learn...Also there has been a few members that you can not even quote without them flaming you..I just do not understand where this all came from and why everyone thinks they are king of the world..K im done...Bye:)

Most of his posts are exactly what he says he hates. Most of them sare either "lol's" or a flame towards someone or just plain nonsense.

I feel that months ago the forums were managed better, less silly posts, less posts on the same subject etc. This could be down to an expanding community, I see a lot of new users, maybe they just don't search for their topic of interest?

Well, the forum was at it's peak in june-july, i LOVED it then, it was awesome, every 30 seconds u get 5 more replies in just the BF2 Discussion Board. Now it's like, every 5 minutes we get one. The xpack brought back some people, but most people just ignored this forum. And YES, there needs to be better managing. I don't see all the mods/admins here anymore. Ace101 (something like that) the mod i havn't seen in a while. Same with badlizzard, Rico posts every now and then, but he used to be so much more active. Defy, i havn't seen him in like weeks. Foxen i havn't seen much around here. I think we need to get the mods/admins back and have them be more active, or an alternative, recruit some more members to become mods/admins.;)

It will, if u get a warning from the mods/admins, don't say i didn't warn u. Going directly against a admin isn't a very good idea.
