I don't know if I'm the only one who gets this, but I thought I'd report it anyway.
I've noticed that this forum is extremely slow to load. Navigating anwhere in this forum often takes up to 60 seconds, which can be really annoying when you're trying to read a post. From time to time, my browser (IE 6), will lock up completely, and become non-responsive. This has become so bad that at times I don't even want to come on here because it's so slow, and locks me up so often. When I visit a page in the forum, the "Total BF2" banner at the top will show up no problem, the page status will say "Done" in the bottom, however only the banner will show up at the top, then, after about 20-30 seconds, the rest of the page will show up. If there is a picture of considerable size in the post, the page will never load, and I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to get out.
I am on broadband, and have no problem running any other website or forum. I've been on 2 providers since I started surfing this forum and the problem still persists. Any suggestions? Is anyone else getting this?

Yea I have this a lot too. Solution..It beats me..I usually leave it on in the background at work and look over threads when I want to take a pause. It has been freezing my computer lately..Not that I am on the best comp but it should not be this bad. I think it is probably derived from so many users coming on these forums..But I am just speculating cause I know very litlle about computers.

76 posts in 16 days, you don't seem to be doing much 'avoiding' do you?
Here is a tip, you want to post critisism about us? fine, do so, if you want to post flames and "totalbf2 sucks" then you will be helped out the door. Simple as that

I don't want this to descend into a flamefest, just looking for support, guys. :D
It wouldn't be so bad if someone gave an explination as to why it's so slow. It's the not knowing part that's so annoying.

Well we recently moved to a new server, which should of minimized or eliminated all the slowness. If you still experience slow load times, it should be fixed shortly.

If your Browser is locking up and you need to press CTRL+ALT+DEL sounds like something is not configured on your end and something in the site is flareing up the problem . . .
Try out FireFox of IE7 and see how it runs.
But there have been random outages of the site that last for about a min so if you are running into these which don't happen much we are looking into it. This will show page not found error and you can pretty much reload the page and it wil show up.

Every since moving to the new server a couple of weeks ago this site has been dreadfully slow for me. FWIW.
It doesn't lock up, it's just loading pages more often than not takes way too long. This only happened after the server switch.

Yeah i dont get the lock ups, but the pages sometimes takes forever to come up, and sometimes making a post will give me the error page not found. It's kind of ridiculous i just exit out of it cause it takes too long. It is definetly a server issue.

Just experienced a TERRIBLE bit of forum lag there...doing a traceroute showed a ton of packet loss at the myinternetservices machines.

Inaccessable for me earlier too,
/me looks at MyIS >_>
Since the server move (or thereabout), all the database errors went away, but since then literally every single day at any time the forum seems to be a rollercoaster ride where it's a repeated cycle of five minutes of fast access followed by five minutes of extreme lag (most often resulting in a browser "timeout" error).

We are aware of some of the issues and are working on fixing it. For some time, we've been under an on again/off again attack as you've possibly seen. There's been a number of people who just like to launch spam attacks against the forums and we have to go in and clean em up. Plus I believe that there are other "fun" things that they are trying to do. Please bear with us as we work to block these attacks and mitigate the problems that they are causing.
I don't want to go into much further detail here as of course I don't wish to give the folks any more ideas. So please understand why I'm being a bit vague. ;)
