bullet splash [water] not appearing?

hey all, scanned threads and couldnt find this subject (yet i do remember seeing it somewhere...) noticed just recently tht the splash in water graphic doesnt appear when i fire into the water anymore??? nothing at all happens - no disturbance...

p4 2.8hz
6600gt
1 gig ram

i am not particularly peeved by this problem (the patch is only hours away lol) but i was wondering if anyone else has encountered this?

if there is a link i have missed pls provide if possible???

I never had a problem seeing the splashy effect when firing small arms into water, but recently I noticed it wasn't working, but it was after some adjustments to my video settings.

Not sure what the deal is.

You need settings on high to see it.

Ive tried to change that in the video settings. And it only works in sp. WTF DICE/EA!!! I thought it would be fixed in the patch. Its a very disturbing bug that I dont know how to fix!!! Plz help me.
It works in sp, but not online!

they took it out in multiplayer so it would make it less laggy, at least thats wat i heard

hey thnx for the imput guys - at least i am not the only person experiencing it - will try it with new patch 2nite and see what happens... i thought it may have come down to a settings increase... any ideas people?... ah well - lets see if the patch fixes it

they took it out in 1.12.

they took it out in 1.12. I would consider a bug, but yeah, it got screwed up in 1.12 and apparently they didn't fix it in 1.2

Edit: Nvm, just checked on karkand and operation clean sweep and it looks like they fixed it :)

YAYYYY!!!! did you do a full reinstall when you patched up or did you do the incremental?

THERE ARE NO FROGMEN IN THE WATER! What are you doing shooting in the water for anyhow? Dont waste your valuable ammo on shooting fish!!
