[release] Unlock&EuFor Weapon Test Mod v1.0

Some people asked me to do this, so here we go:

This mod is for all the people out there who dont know what weapon they should unlock next.

Plus this is a first look at the upcoming Euro Forces weapons. Every Army has new weapon sets.
China has now the BF2 (Tier1) unlocks, MEC uses the SF (Tier2) unlocks and the USMC has access to the weapons from the upcoming Euro Forces Booster Pack.

Full Singleplayer support and no need to copy levels.

Please download the hotfix as well. It is mandatory.

At least BF2 v1.2 is required to play this mod. 1.4 and 1.41 work as well.
To activate the mod, start the game as usual, click community > custom games.
Choose the mod and click activate, the game will restart and the mod will be activaed.

Yes, BF2 isnt touched because it is a separate mod.
You can activate it in the community menu.. ;)

Especially because its firemodes are like the MG36, burst and auto..

make sure you have bf2 patched to 1.2

Where do you think the new unlocks came from. Plus if they let them all be unlocks everyone (me included) what just go around grabing the kits. My friends still do that with my SF unlocks :-).

yep love the HK21 too its a pure machine.. has slow reload times but it makes up for it in power and clip size

Ah jesus the guns are amazing, I also had no intention of buying EF. But i nearly would after playing with these.

Famas i actually prefer to the g36e from what ive seen.
The lmg has amazign sound.
The spec ops carbine im surprised to say is a nice gun, strange sound.
The assault gun is very weird to use though. Seems like it has random aim and maybe a bit low on damage.

No. There are no new unlocks in Euroforce; the AT and sniper weapons for EU just happen to be the same as the tier 2 unlocks for those kits. Just as the other SF unlocks are also standard weapons for one of the armies in SF.

But you can only use those weapons on the 3 new maps online. It's not like they are a new set of unlocks, just another army (like China's limited map selection only more so).

How do you get the Euro force voices to work? I was able to shoot the new Euro weapons in single player, but the voices were the same USMC voices. :confused:

after running this and quitting, when i start up bf2 again will it be normal? unchanged and everything? also.. when ef comes out, for the new unlocks, will you be able to use them in vanllia bf2? and if so, are they unlocks or will you just get them all when youb buy the booster?

Yeah, everything will be normal and ready for playing on ranked servers again.
The EF weapons will not be a new set of unlocks.

Im having a problem. When I load up a single player map, the weapons and stuff are there, but my screen freezes. When I Ctrl-alt-delete it says BF2 is responding...HELP! MUST TRY NEW WEAPONS.

is this a good mod to change the object_server.zip files so all machine guns have the same effect as tank rounds?

i downloaded a EF mod for this purpose, but it didnt have the right object server files! what gives?

cause youre not supposed to do that on normal bf2 or you cant play online.

and EF is worth it, not for the guns but for the 2 great maps, smokescreen and great wall, which are both great for tank and infantry combat.

I love the MP7, slightly better usable range than the MK3, yet still useful at close range. Plus 45 round clips will really help surprise someone when they round a corner 15ft away.

Note that if you want to run this on a server (e.g. to play co-op) it suffers from a bug in the editor that causes it to crash when changing maps. The fix is to move this line from init.con to gamelogicinit.con:
run Common/FreeCamera/Object.con

That is not possible since if you don't have EF you don't have the vehicles (and I believe it would be illegal for anyone to offer them for download). The handheld weapons are included in the vanilla BF2 patch.

I didnt test it, but it should work fine with all patches since 1.2

its works fine but only if I start it using a shortcut with those parameters:
+modPath mods/weapontest +fullscreen 1

can be used to start any mod, just change modPath to whatever.

Really this thread should be a sticky in the discussion forum or the mod forum since it doesn't require EF to use. Nobody seems to know about it since they never visit the EF forum if they don't have EF.
