and it will let you use the new euroforces weapons in single player on the usmc team, and the tier 2 unlocks on the mec team

to use it, install the mod and go to the community tab and activate it, then start a single player game

i know i'll sound like i newb, but here goes: when i install a mod, will i have to uninstall it/reinstall BF2 to play online?

Nope, this mod is totally seperate to BF2 at won't affect your ability to play online. It's also very small at around 2mb!

(I'm speaking from experience, as I have the mod and play online myself :) )

No, you still can play on ranked servers as mods dont affect the original game ;)

EDIT: the FAMAS is BS, it fires at 900 rpm and does 30 damage, and is given to the MEDIC CLASS FFS! they shouldn't have the best assault rifles in the game, but DICE repeatedly gives them superior weapons even though they're a "non-offensive" class

FAMAS is a huge piece of crap. Hk21 is ok, but extremely innaccurate past 50 meters or so.

L96 is ok, but nothing different than the M24.

The HK21 is very good in medium-close range, but the FAMAS is totally INSANE:ROF is the same as the MP5 and the damage of a SCAR-L,if not even more.
That baby is gonna rulez the battlefield....just suck that is been given to medics and not to special forces or some other "aggressiv" class:confused:

..all I'm sayng is that medic already has some of the best rifles in the game(G36E pretty much ownz anything),so I would have given the famas to special ops and vice versa......:D

I thought the Famas is amazing, the Shotty is nice too I prefer it to the other pump action ones. The LMG was excellent as well, love the sound of it. The Assault gun i found very weird, random aim or something a bit weak too.

What i meant by random you fire at one guy instant headshot no worries. Then the next time you line them up make about 10 attempts to hit them then nothing. I seem to get that occsaionally with the f2000, like the way the sniper rifles used to be.

I love the looks but the handle is MASSIVE as well :p. Takes up half the screen.

the support weapon is great

benelli seems very usefull for an allyway full of round 5 ppl

famas is great but its weird i had to aim like the middle of the scope was top left of the center cirle when zooming in to get accurate shots

You can't. Only the L9 and P90, as with the patch.

How correct you are, especially since specops doesn't have much to offer now they get out gunned long range by a PKM and can't chuck C4. The new specops gun leaves a lot to be desired. The Famas does have the ROF of the MP5, the damage of the M16A1, but it has both full auto and burst, and about the accuracy on single shot as the M16A1. It's deviation added per shot is smaller than the other assault rifles too. Meet the new king of the battlefield.

Just tried out some of the new guns ...

FAMAS is really good! A lot better than I was expecting; I think I might even choose it over the G36E when I can ... *maybe*.

The Assault gun (forgot the name already lol) is alright. I think I might still stick with AKs when I could, but it seemed a reasonable upgrade over the M16 at least. I'm not a huge G3 user (could never get over the small clip size, even though it's a monstrously powerful gun), so I don't know how it compares to that, really.

Support gun (HK21 I think?) I didn't really like. Especially with the PKM being *so* powerful - almost overpowered, if you will - it's a hard choice to ever use this. Maybe if I could use it instead of the M249 SAW or the Type95 (or is it the Type88? I always forget) ...

The AWP is cool. I like the sight, and I like the fact that I can finally use an M24 as any army lol. Plus the sound it makes is badass.

The Benalli is pretty cool too. Admittedly I'd probably still choose the DAO over it in cqb, but if I was an engineer I'd definitely enjoy this gun. I've always liked the semi-autos more than the Jackhammer or the pump-actions.

Does the game restart with a new "WEAPON TEST MOD" start screen? You don't actually get "unlocks", the unlocks just become your primary weapons for MEC and China.

well the FAMAS and the L82A2 is superb, not mention the L96 what you can get as an unlock... I didnt like the unaccurate support gun and the weak P90, the spec ops gun has a cool sound, but nothing special...

The support wep is incredibly good, so are the FAMAS and the benneli.

You have to go to singleplayer and choose the right mod.

Anyways I don't see why these guns are other available unlocks like the p90 and l96 were....

aggressively, you are correct! :)

I also love the G36e, however I find it difficult to penetrate an anti-tank soldier. (insert joke here)

I think that's what it means.

From an interview I read with one of the developers (pre 1.2) he mentioned not allowing more unlocks into the game because of a memory and server performance issue.

I wouldn't count on the weapons being available in vanilla BF2. That's why I will wait and see.

there are no extra unlocks with euroforces plain and simple. and u can only use the euroforce guns on the 3 euroforce maps

Part of the unlock confusion comes from the fact that patch 1.2 includes 2 new SF unlocks which happen to be the same as two of the EU weapons in Euroforce (sniper & AT).
