you have to buy it, costs £6 or $10 and can only be bought from EA downloader

for the longest time while it was being 'advertised' i thought it was free. i was thinking 'wow, i just shelled out $40 for special forces, just for a handful of new features, what a nice suprise that they are adding some more content for free'. yeah, right.
then i found out its $10. i can easily afford $10 for a gaming hobby, but i refuse to pay for something that should have been included for free in a patch. i cant stand profiteering BS. other game companies release free add-on content regularly (and please dont mention the AWP and P90 - those were meant to be in SF from the beginning, i have no idea why 2 classes were left without a SF unlock. the P90 is the absolute worst POS in the game, and the AWP is a clone of an existing weapon. i actually unlocked the P90 after reading about how much it sucked, figuring it would be fun to kill people with it to humiliate them. but it is just so pitifully garbage i honestly would rather use a pistol).
a limit of <32 player maps doesnt interest me much, nor do i really care about the subtle differences between 2 types of vehicle. i really cant tell the difference between an M1A2 or T-90 shell as it blasts my *** into oblivion, so i really could care less if it now comes from an 'ooh, aahhh' shiny new Leopard 2A6. the end result is the same. and the weapons will be pretty much the same too, with perhaps .1 more min/max deviation here or there. bfd

Yeah they're being real nice guys and delaying it for another few weeks until they release the patch of a patch 1.21. I'm almost going to miss the wacky missiles.

Who says they're going anywhere?

Presumably DICE would try to clean up DICE Canada's mess and make the missiles slightly more realistic. Eleventy-one 90-degree turns in a row while making your lockon detector crap itself is ridiculous.

Who says that's a mess? All they've mentioned so far is fixing the anti-tank missile issue.

It's funny how the ingame ad says important information, last time I clicked the SF ad, finding the game wanted to quit to go to the web page, like I just loaded the game so I could quit without playing.
Theres enough room in that box to just say, Euro addon DELAYED till after the patch to fix the last patch.
As for the 32 player server, unless there are 16 Tanks/APC's/Jets/Attack Choppers on each side alot of people are going to be pi**ed.
And as I and lots of other people dont care about armour, £6/$10 is too much.

Agreed. Their next booster pack is looking way better.

I don't really mind paying about $17AUD but its the point that counts.. If you play World of Warcraft, you would of noticed how much the game has moved from there.Counter-strike:Source are like making new maps constantly, adding in new models and sometimes new equipment.
This " patch " we shall call it should be for free! I mean.. 3 new maps.. all in asaia, not even in europe and i even think the game should get more maps in the middle east.

Honestly at this point I wouldn't mind paying a few dollars for a game that worked properly. I'm thinking the server browser/menu system of CS:Source but with BF2's wacky-*** gameplay intact. I'd go as high as...$10CAD. I'm just getting desperate here, because the game can be a real pain to get going.
