Extreme Lag and suggestions?

I have had extreme lag and unplayable fps problems due to the latest patch. I have reinstalled 3 times and repatched. This doesn't help, but when I played on an unpatched version it worked fine so I know its the patch. I have a high end machine so that isn't the problem. I have done system restores and have updated all my drivers. I have run out of ideas and currentaly cannot play. Does anyone have any suggestions that may help this. I have searched the forums for answers to no avail. Thank you in advanced for your responses.

ATIs dont work well with the latest patch. Get NVIDIA or wait for a better patch.

i had the same problem but i am running wireless internet and found out after everything i did all i had to do was reset the router. in this case to you it might have somthing to do with ur internet connection, maby there are alot of people in ur area on the net. well hope i was any help.

I have a radeon 9200 and i followed these stessp and now im playing bf2 patch 1.2
