Makes sense it will take them atleast two weeks to beta test any hotfix they come up with and we are already in the last week of FEB!

Why do they even bother telling us a date. Just soon like they always do.

remember that little popup box when you logged into BF2? The counter one that said when EF was supposed to be released? Wasnt today the last day?
Good ol' EA for not coming through on there suspected release dates!

Personally, i gotta give EA an applause!!!!!!
I came home from work on Valentines day, dateless and not looking forward to anything exciting, then i get a message that rev 1.2 was available...
Man, that was simply AWESOME!!!! I was estatic over the unexpected new rev.
I would like to see more suprises like that from EA. Like maybe just after Euroforce is added, they have a rev download with a new map for original and special forces edition. Or maybe a tier 4 choice of guns...
That would be awesome.

Community Update - 2/20/06
Listen up Troops,
Although patch 1.2 included several fixes that we know were eagerly awaited, it unfortunately introduced some new issues. These are being addressed immediately and we are working around the clock to resolve those. Patch 1.21 (coming soon) will be tested in a limited beta with select Battlefield community members starting as early as this week. We’re doing this to ensure a clean release of 1.21. In addition, we have decided to postpone the Euro Force Booster Pack until sometime after the release of the updated 1.21 patch.
Stick to this web space for additional information soon.
On a more pleasant note, Battlefield 2 hit somewhat of a milestone last night with over 52,000 simultaneous players. This is the highest number of players we’ve seen at one time for Battlefield 2 and almost 4 times more than the peak number of Battlefield 1942.
Thanks in advance for your patience.
The team at DICE and EA

how can they say it's coming out in March? patch 1.21 will create more bugs for them to fix!

True. The message window got down to two days, then when I logged on the next day it still showed two days until release. I wondered why it hadn't changed, obviously at this point EA knew they were going to delay Euro Force so there was no point to change the image.
No surprise it's going to be March now. I would put money on it being the second half of March too. Mark my words.

So when is the second booster coming out? June? I'm glad they are trying to get things right, but maybe they shouldn't screw up so royaly in the first place.
I like this game a lot so don't think I'm trying to flame them, but the high degree of failure( I like the patch-just not the system failures) is pretty mind boggling-especially with so many desirable games, and potential replacements on the horizon. I honestly feel like they are taking a good thing for granted.

Why not just release EF out now. See what new bugs it will have, cause you know it will. Then come out with the patch to fix it all. Since we are there best beta testers to let them know what to fix. Apparently there 8 year old beta testers are slacking.

I dont know why delay it, what if with the hot fix, it gets worse?? Then what delay again. Getting really old. I know alot of you say, better let then take their time to get it right, well they took their time with 1.2 good job they did. I understand that it takes time to test and stuff, but come on, this is a little over due.

What does it really matter anyway? This week, next week...It's just a game. I'd rather they at least attempted to fix the few things that are messed up still rather than release it on time with the new maps not working. :)

I'd rather it be out in March or later and have most of it's bugs and lag fixed, than it coming out tomorrow like SF.

Ha, the Battlefield 2 Deluxe edition has disappeared from EBGames and Gamestop, these were the links:

http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=646494
It was scheduled to ship end of March, so I'd assumed it was Bf2 and the 2 booster packs combined.

I'm glad. I can't even play BF2 at the moment cause i ened the 1.21 patch to fix the bugs that made me unplayable!
At least EA is taking the time to fix the bugs caused by 1.2...what's with you people, you whine about a patch and when EA bumps back an expansion so they can fix it, you complain about that. Stupid.

That cant be right... My clanmate was just bragging about how he just bought it off the EA downloader earlier today. Maybe only people who bought it b4 they found problems will be able to play it until march when it will be released "officially" man hee is going to be laughing about this.
