Euro Forces hits shelves!

It's on the shelves in Germany, apparently it was too late to recall the boxes. I'd guess that even if you did buy a copy the download code wouldn't work yet.

EDIT: I think the end of the article says you can download it now if you have the code, but it'll only work in single player.

It is download only. But you can buy the pack in the stores and you get a download code to use online.

But considering it's download only, it's probably wasn't even able to download in the first place, so surely whether you have a code or not makes bog all difference.

They write that that EA was so surprised by the technical difficulties with 1.2 that they were not able to recall the booster package from retail.
And as far as I know you can only buy it in germany in stores.

Notice how I use 'all pre-orders'. Unless you're planning to preorder it and play before the official release, that shouldn't be a problem for you, ;)

Thanks for clearing that up, i didnt notice the pre-order bit. Im not planning to get it untill a couple of days after launch just to see how it works with 64 player servers (seeing as one map is only 32 player, and i only play 64 player maps as my preference) I am sure there will be a way round it, but regardless i am not pre-ordering.

All the Germans have purchased is a code, there's still no link on EA's Downloader to start the download, so I can't see any difference between us and them, well expect the fact their wallets are a little bit emptier...

There is a page for the download, which accepts any pre-order codes. Until the release though, the page will not be made public. I assume the URL to the page is given along with the purchased code.

I dont know if thats the only country there doing it for(maybe the will di it for the credit card challenged countries) but if you live in america, well, were definintly no credit card challenged so I doubt it

Not entirely true from first hand experience. SF was working fine for a few weeks with a "certain key" and then couldn't be detected in EA's key database after a month passed by. Weird...

Yes, it's multilanguage.
You can choose the same languages like in BF and SF.
Hate the bad translations in games, so I prefer English.

Checked the maps/content for some hours, and it's OK for 10 bucks.
Great wall seems to be the most interesting map, so a possible followup to Karkand.
The weapons are 'different', but I stick to my beloved AK & G36e.

They haven't announced a specific date yet (March 9th is the latest guess - Amazon.de); have someone in Germany buy it for you and email you the download code :-)
