Can we unlock L96A1 without unlocking M95?

you will be able to use the l96a1 as the standard sniper rifle in the european nation army when the booster pack comes out. Other than that, as others have said, you need to unlock the m95 first before you can unlock it

oh well.. since i seldom snipe, i see no need to unlock 2 sniper rifles. Last time i took a L96A1 from a dead body that i just fragged. Before i can happily examined its scope, look and... BOOM his claymore got me :cry:

Unfortuantely, no, u gotta get the M95 first. Doesn't matter if ur on the USMC team, cause the L96 is just a M24 with a different skin and firing noise, and a different reload animation that is 1 second shorter.

Its too bad its a 2nd unlock I had alot of fun with the one I killed someone for it sounded like a small rocket lifting off and it was so accurate with the thin cross hairs and such

you got to have the m95 to unlock the sf one.

but what ****ed me off and sure did others, was that they let you unlock guns b4 the patch came out so then i was unable to unlock the new sniper.

Wait a minute I hate to bring this up again but I NEVER had the opportunity to unlock the L96A1 before or after the patch. I have SF also BTW. I have the M95 unlocked. So, why didnt I get the chance to unlock it? Anyone else have this issue?
