Modd opening question

I have a quick question, I am new at mods and I can't figure out how to run the mod, I have it downloaded already, just how do you open it?

Extract it into your EA Games/ Battlefield 2/mods folder. If you want to open it from BF2, run BF2, and go to the community tab. There should be a section for mods at the top left. Select your mod, and hit "activate"

Or you can do it the easy way, and create a shortcut for it. Copy a shortcut of BF2, and rename it to whatever. Right click on the shortcut, and click "properties". In the target line, add this to the end of it: "+menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/modfoldername", minus quotations (but after the quotations that were already there).

For example, the USI's [internal] beta folder is named USI, so my target line for the shortcut to USI looks like this:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/USI
