The euro forces shotgun has a weaver scope-mount.

why? I'm not much of a shotty fan IRL, so is there anyone who can tell me why you'd need a scope mount on a shotgun?

The spec's read that this shotgun is capable of uesing different types of rounds & if my memory serves me corectly the last time I shot a magnum round ( from a shotgun ) it was pretty dead on at quite a distance & a scope would have been nice to have.

I remember the USAS it was in SOF2, ravensheild etc people always called it the noob gun, same with the M60, they were alright though, USAS was like a auto-shotgun.

And yeah pretty much for aimpoints and stuff CQC things, as some dont have iron sights on the end.

But anyway, people put add ons onto anything these days its stupid.

people think shotguns are inaccurate because in ALL the games they are allways horribly inaccurate, in real life they are far less inaccurate.

The benelli m4 is the genral issue shot gun for troops in iraq now. It should be held like rifle in EF since it has very low recoil in Real life.

I got his info from Mail call on the history channel! LoL gotta love the H channel

my remington 870 sps has a mid range scope on it! i have a fully rifled barrel and use sabot rounds as well as slugs...

using sabots @ 100 yards my grouping is around 5" dia

it just gives you a better range to "reach out and touch someone" with!! :D

especially since i live in NJ and you cant hunt with any decent rifle

there is always a way around something!!!

And what's the point of HUNTING with SABOT?

i used to watch mail call but cant find it anymore.

too bad nobody uses shotguns in armies anymore... you made it sound like every marine and serviceman gets a M4, which is complete bs.

also, M4 generally refers to the M4A1 carbine, a short version of the M16 used for spec ops work that you recognize from USMC m4.

a sabot is a rifle round cased in plastic inside a larger shell....tanks use them my shotgun uses them....you can buy them from the store...all it does is allow you to use a rifle round in a shotgun...thus allowing me to get around NJ nor rifle laws when hunting...hence allowing me to use a scope on a shotgun to get a greater range out of a short to mid range weapon

the cases of sabots i buy say sabot on the box...! :D
shotguns can use them because they have a larger barrel

oh. actually you are right. the SABOT referring to should have been AFPFDS (or something like that) that's armor penetrating SABOT.

its all cool! i love guns! i dont like what people use them for but i still like em!

yeah sabots are really sweet! you need to open one up sometime...pretty cool concept.

you know, guns = a tool

you don't have to kill people with them.

As for me - I use my guns to take out agression on faulty computer equipment. I love shooting cisco stuff out in the desert. Then i bring it back to work and display it on my desk so people won't ask me to fix their network :D

I use my gun for target shooting - thats it. I'll only shoot a person if I must to stay alive. If some guy comes at me with a knife - i still won't shoot him (in most circumstances). I'll just run.

Oh and thanks for the read folks. I can see flashlights and stuff being mounted on a rail close to the barrel and a 1x aimpoint i guess makes sense. IMO shotguns for urban use hardly need to be aimed at all =)

They were invented for killing though, not target shooting.

If you had to create a list of "objects causing pain and suffering in the world" they would be right up there.

In spite of that, I'd like to own one and take up shooting some time.

As a certified shotgun whore, I weigh in on shotguns:

M11-87/NOR982: Blam! The best! So much power at short range!

DAO-12: Not that powerful, but what a fire rate, and 12 rounds!

BENELLI M4: DAO-12 and M11-87 had a one night stand. Benelli is the bastard child, and I love him like a son.

Shotguns are less of the noobcannons they're cut out to be in BF, since many times range dictates you whip out your pistol and try for the distance shot, or dart from cover to cover while charging towards an enemy with an assault rifle because you have to take him at close range or get blown open at range. In Counterstrike it's different because you're never often called upon to use weapons tactically, just rush and buttonmash, rush and buttonmash.

I shot a deer @ 110 yrds. right through the liver, & lungs, & backbone w/ 1 shot from a Remington 12 ga. pump w/ fully rifled barrel, & Leupold 3X9 scope cantiliever mounted to the barrel (not the receiver) w/ a 3" mag 1.25 oz. slug from a crouched position over a log

While it was mating hehehe

btw, it didn't take 1 step after I hit it, went down as if struck by lightning

The doe would have hit it's head on a street light it jumped so high

Shotguns are capable of incredible accuracy
