Install says castrophic failure

ok the ea downloader FAQ didn't even say anything bout this but i know many people getting this error has anyone been able to fix this or find out the problem behind it

EA say to uninstall the EAD, delete the info in the registry and reinstall.

Delete the Electronics Art folder from Windows Explorer (not the EA Games one) And download the installer and EF again. that way works fine.

I didn't have to touch thre registry!
