Single player works but multi times out

I have gotten into Ef via singlew player and it works just fine .. whenever I try to connect to a multiplayer game the sysytem seems to freeze and does nothing. I have to reboot to get out of it :cry:

Can anyone offer suggestions as to what is causing this and how I can actually join a game? .. I can't even join vanilla BF2 games either and it is driving me bananas.

Have you a firewall that needs to allow BF2 to connect to the net since you installed EF ?

I dont encounter any problems when I play EF. Although EF wasn't as "amazing" as I expected it to be it is still pretty good with some glitches. Although "some" of these glitches can't be fixed and "some" might be because... well i don't really know why
