Roads

Every time i make roads it comes up with like 4 lanes (2 roads) how can i just set this to on single road with 2 lanes AND PLEASE OH PLEASE DONT SEND ME ON ONE OF THOSE FORUM THINGS CAUSE I CANT FIND ANYTHING just give me a step by step building roads please pictures would help and if u find someware that does this send me the link for it THX:D
